Filled with 150 gorgeous and intimate on-site bull arena event photographs, featuring 61 of the most notable and most important riders in the sport, and shot at all the major US nationwide events, the book features not only the prominent bull-riders themselves in action but the ambience and locations as well as the very active bulls and the crowds that adore the excitement. All recorded by an award-winning photographer and photojournalist. The book features a variety of presentations in terms of text, which profile riders through interviews, fine photographic portraits, at home with their families, and preparing for and the after events of a bull ride. Gilbert made ranch visits to 16 of the riders, so they can be seen casually through a broader scope in their environments. The book is replete with long interviews of numerous of the bull riders included, providing further up-close entry for the reader to the aura and excitement of the sport and the mentality behind it for the riders themselves. This is a unique book, without any competition, that steps into the arena of a sport that is exploding in terms of popular interest.
