Rob Tickle has a BA (UNE) in archaeology, palaeoanthropology and history along with an Associate Diploma in Local and Applied History (UNE) and a postgraduate certificate in Historical Archaeology (University of Leicester). He has had a lifelong passion for history, but over the past thirty years, his main interest has been local history in the Hunter Valley and family history. He is a member of the Port Macquarie Historical Society, Wauchope & District Historical Society, life member of Muswellbrook Shire Local & Family History Society Inc., and member of the International Golden Keys Society. He lives in Wauchope.
