Author: Judith attributes Dr Seuss’ fantastical tales about faraway places to her love of writing children’s books. She is an award-winning author, education consultant and playwright. After teaching phonics and phonemic awareness to children in Europe, the Middle East, India and China, Judith saw a growing need to support literacy in schools. Her desire to lend a ‘helping hand’ to those involved in the art of teaching basic reading skills resulted in a series of wonderfully written and illustrated, Australian phoneme-themed stories. Apart from developing reading skills, the books foster imagination, language and sound-spelling recognition.

Illustrator: A highly regarded landscape painter, Janie Frith lives in regional Victoria and is constantly inspired by the beautiful lush landscape of South Gippsland. With a diverse range of works in a variety of media, including charcoal, acrylic and oils, she has exhibited at numerous galleries across Australia. A Fine Arts trained practitioner, Janie has taught Secondary and Primary School children for over 20 years. www.janiefrith.com
