Zoomer is a lively, fast-moving squirrel in Moonbeam Forest, whose impulsive energy often causes chaos, until it becomes exactly what’s needed to save the day. Get Lost, Zoomer! speaks to every child who has ever been told they are ‘too much’. It invites young readers to see their differences as strengths, while offering gentle reassurance to parents, educators, and therapists. Get, Lost Zoomer! has been proudly endorsed by the ADHD Foundation Limited as a valuable resource for families and professionals supporting neurodiverse children.

Author:
After years in the corporate world, Katina now writes picture books for children that explore big feelings, misunderstood behaviours, and the beauty of embracing who you truly are. Her stories are inspired by lived experience, advocacy for neurodiversity, and a belief that every child deserves to feel seen and celebrated. Through heartfelt storytelling, Katina reframes the traits often viewed as “challenges” into strengths. Her characters offer comfort, connection, and reassurance, reminding young readers that who they are is enough. Katina is a role model for Books in Homes Australia, a Director of the nationally recognised ADHD Foundation Limited, a member of the Neurodiversity Advisory Board at Scope Psychology, and a 2026 judge for the CYA Conference. When she is not writing, Katina enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, discovering great coffee spots, and planning new adventures. She is inspired by the small moments in life that often shape her stories.

Illustrator:
Aleksandra is a children’s book illustrator originally from southern Poland, now creating from her seaside studio in New Zealand. Since 2017, she has illustrated over 40 books, games, and creative projects, blending watercolour, gouache, ink, and a touch of digital polish.
Her work is gentle, whimsical, and full of heart, creating stories that make readers laugh, feel something meaningful, and carry a sense of wonder long after the last page.  Inspired by nature, autumn colours, and everyday emotions, she is drawn to storytelling
filled with warmth, imagination, and a subtle touch of magic.
