Cassie and Lina are excited to be pet sitting Patti the bulldog, but Gus the cat feels silly around dogs. Above everything else, he wants to maintain his dignity.
At the Barefoot Springs Show, the girls are ready to enter the Dress Up Like Your Pet competition with Gus and Patti. They’d love to win, and Cassie has worked hard making matching purple, sparkly costumes. But no matter how hard they try, Gus refuses to put his costume on. He stalks away from the girls to sulk.
But Patti is a protective dog and she’s worried about Gus. She gives a short sharp bark and disappears... only to reappear right next to Gus, and startle him into rolling down the hill!
Costumes are flying, there’s mud everywhere, and Gus ends up a sorry, tangled mess covered in chocolate icecream. It’s an undignified, messy end to the girls’ hopes and dreams for the Dress Up Like Your Pet competition?
Can Cassie and Lina be resilient in the face of disappointment? Can Gus claw back any dignity after a very embarrassing day? Can Patti stay still in one place long enough for the girls to enter the Dress Up Like Your Pet competition?
